DECLARATION OF THE STRATEGIC ANTI-CONFERENCE "BELARUSIAN ID REVIVAL DAYS"

September 15, 2024, Office for National Revival

Warsaw, 14–15.09.2024

We, representatives of civil society, political organizations, media and business, expert groups, and public initiatives, regard activities towards national revival and development as the most crucial area of focus for the Belarusian and international community interested in a European, democratic, and nationally self-determined future for Belarus. We are convinced that preserving and further forming the national identity of Belarusians is an absolute priority for our activities, and this requires the active involvement of everyone for the successful and sustainable development of the country and society.

We are deeply concerned about the processes currently taking place in Belarus, which threaten its future as an independent and national state. Total Russification of the public space, repression against cultural, business, educational, and scientific figures, as well as the medical and other professional communities supporting democratic and national values, are now on a massive scale. Mass political emigration and a crisis in the governance system put our country under significant demographic, economic, and political threats to its viability and sovereignty.

Understanding the complexity of systematic and public work of nationally oriented communities within Belarus, as well as the direct physical threat to those who continue to uphold democratic and public values in the country, we take responsibility for continued joint work for national revival and development in areas where such interaction is beneficial and effective. We extend our activities not only directly throughout Belarus in available forms and formats but also in all countries where Belarusian diasporas and communities exist. We call on organizations and communities, united by a common interest in supporting and developing the national identity, culture, language, and statehood of the Belarusian people, as well as other entities from Belarusian and international organizations interested in being our reliable partners and friends, to join our coalition.

By signing this declaration, we voluntarily commit ourselves to work together on the strategic program of national revival and development, maintain closer communication among ourselves on this topic, and, within a year, establish special working groups to work on joint action plans, community-political and cultural campaigns, and synchronize our own agendas.

Joining this declaration is open and is carried out by collecting signatures placed on the official page of the Representation for National Revival of the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus as the organization that undertakes to care for the future of this project and the declaration.
